Certifications
CCA has the following certificates:
ISO 9001 and SCA
Container Company Amsterdam B.V. is committed to maintaining a maximum quality level.
In 1997 we became the first company in our sector to obtain the ISO 9002 quality certificate for our worldwide activities. The SCA* 2000/03 safety certificate was awarded and updated in may 2004 with the ISO 9001 standard.
The quality system describes the company procedures for all activities such as sales, rental, transport, repair and modification of containers both for domestic and international use.
The quality system meets all international regulations as laid down in the NEN-ISO 9001 standard.
The quality, labour and environmental policy published by the Board guarantees that all quality procedures are followed in the most efficient and economical manner.
The health and safety of our employees and third party workers, including the maintenance of their environment, plays a significant role. The policy is designed to prevent personal injuries, material damage and environmental harm.
STEK
The STEK certificate means CCA is qualified to handle and register cooling fluids that might harm the environment. These fluids are used in cooling units on reefer containers.
AEO
At the end of 2008 the procedure was started with respect to obtaining the AEO certificate. Sister company Ter Haak Logistics had already applied, followed by the other Ter Haak Group companies. As all companies are part of an internationally operating organisation with a range of logistic actvities, each company will be awarded the status of authorised participant (Authorised Economic Operator).
Once authorised a company is qualified to obtain a certain number of safety checks by the customs, ensuring smooth and prompt transactions and transit of goods. Risk analyses and procedures in terms of registration of staff and visitors, security and software are described in detail. The status is recognised by all customs authorities in participating member countries.
