Vollers Holland extends contract with Ter Haak Group

Warehousing and distribution company Vollers Holland is to continue hiring storage space from the Ter Haak Group. Impressed by the services offered the group, Vollers has extended its contract for a further three years to rent 23,000 square metres of bulk warehouses for the storage of cocoa.

Vollers Holland director Bert Schalij and Richard ter Haak (director of the Ter Haak Group) signed the new contract on 14 December. The warehouses are located on Kwadrantweg in the Suezhaven (Suez harbour) area of Amsterdam. Ter Haak has over 300 metres of deep sea quay at its disposal on the site, allowing bulk vessels and barges to be directly unloaded within the warehouses. Headquartered in Germany, the Vollers Group is primarily active in the market for tropical products such as coffee, cocoa, tea, tobacco, cotton, wool and yarn. In addition to its main office in Bremen and the branch in Amsterdam, Vollers also has offices in Rotterdam, Antwerp, Hamburg, Tallinn (Estonia), Riga (Latvia), Klaipeda (Lithuania), Moscow and Trieste (Italy).

The Ter Haak Group is committed to further expanding its logistic services in the years ahead. One of the key elements in this strategy is to offer modern storage facilities at the group’s own multimodal terminals in Amsterdam. Leveraging on the growing demands for high-quality distribution capacity, Ter Haak is about to open a new 18,000 m² distribution centre in the modern Atlas Park industrial estate in Amsterdam’s western port area. “Flexibility, quality and cost efficiency have always been priorities for us at the Ter Haak Group," comments Richard ter Haak. “The success of this philosophy is one of the major reasons behind the ongoing cooperation with Vollers and the extension of the contract."
